Traditionally, the placement of dental implants requires adequate bone support for predictable success. This support can occur naturally or can be augmented when deficient by placing a bone graft prior to the implant surgery. However, sometimes it is hard to determine when that is necessary. With current CT technology, that determination is now much easier and more precise. When there is a question about the bone quality, a CT scan can tell us the exact depth, width and any deficiencies within the proposed implant site. This additional imaging prior to surgery allows us to design the best implant solution for you.
